Could circus help us to walk the razor edge of bereavement? With graceful gestures and gentle comedy, Compagnie Courant d’Cirque shows that a subject as delicate as the suicide of a father can lead to cherished moments of limitless poetry. Boutès 4.41 is the meeting between the silent acts of a juggler and aerial artist, and the acrobatic words of an actor. The two performers Tania Simili and Jean-Luc Piraux, reflecting a father and daughter, explore the thousand and one ways of sharing memories from opposite sides of the proverbial veil. And what if tears were sometimes a laugh that got lost on the way?
