These six acrobats are childhood friends who developed their self-taught style in the streets of Bogota. In Somos they revisit their story, the story of kids who dreamed of being circus performers. On a pared down set, transformed by remarkable lighting effects, they relate the pleasure and the strength of being together as a reaction to street violence. Day after day you have to walk, carry yourself, gauge yourself, get sick of yourself and become reconciled. To explain their chosen family with their bodies, they have reappropriated sign language. Text becomes movement, a backwards somersault is a thank you.
