Red Haired Men

Between dance, contortion, circus and magic, four men launch themselves onto the stage.

Coréalisation Espace Catastrophe / Festival UP! - Charleroi danse

Four dancer-acrobats, a white table, and a few chairs: that’s all the Red Haired Men need to kick off a domestic ball that will leave you mesmerised and speechless. Appearance, disappearance, and substitution: the relentless choreography entangles the quartet’s eight arms and eight legs as they vie for space in close combat. Inspired by the Russian author Daniil Harms whose absurd and political poetry was a forerunner of Beckett’s work, the show is choreographed by Alexander Vantournhout, a multi-talented director who also throws himself into the fray, quite literally.
